Diocese of the West Nomination

On Wednesday January 31, 2007 St Paul’s was privileged to host a special assembly, chaired by Bishop SERAPHIM of Ottawa and Canada, to nominate a candidate to the Holy Synod of Bishops for election to be the new hierarch of Diocese of the West. The nomination was held to replace the newly retired Bishop TIKHON, who had held office since 1987. His Grace Bishop BENJAMIN of Berkeley was unanimously nominated as the candidate.
